LSD

TODAY On April 19, 1943, Albert Hofmann, a Swiss chemist, accidentally discovered the hallucinogenic properties of LSD while working at the Sandoz Laboratories in Basel, Switzerland. This accidental exposure led to the first intentional ingestion of LSD a few days later, which initiated Hofmann’s famous bicycle ride home while under the influence of the drug. This event marked the beginning of modern research into psychedelics.

It was synthesised on the 16th, bicycle day as its known is on the 19th of april – its called that because he took way too much and rode his bike 🙂
