2021 K12 FINANCIAL LITERACY

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are seen as important enough for national education ministries to include in modules. This means that they perceive the industry as one which will be crucial for students to understand as they step into the world of independent finance after school.

Mar 12, 2021 Georgia Proposes Bill Where Crypto Will be Part of High School Curriculum
The House of Representatives in Georgia state has passed a bill that calls for state education officials to develop a program focused on financial literacy, with cryptocurrency recognized as a specific area of learning on the curriculum.

A bill has been passed in Georgia calling for school curricula to include Bitcoin and blockchain studies for high school students. In order to offer students a more well-rounded financial education, the Georgia House of Representatives requires that state education schools include cryptocurrency in classes. the program will include 16 different areas in financial literacy to be studied by students from tenth grade. According to the bill, the State Board of Education will prescribe a study programme that will include financial literacy courses needed to be completed by students during the high school years.

Bankers will be looking for ways to get “Financial Literacy” into the 10 – 12 grade High School Curricula for their data and to get them banked.

Maybe …… they will offer a class in “cryptocurrency”. 

We can only hope that School Districts and their Ed Techs decide to teach students to run nodes, and use solar for mining to help their own school districts and state budgets, which gives students actual skills that are in demand when they graduate High School.
School districts can partner with Ed Tech departments in Higher Ed to also mine crypto and take the school tax burden on the public’s shoulders.
