Bank of America settles lawsuit brought on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein victims

NEW YORK (AP) — Bank of America has tentatively settled a lawsuit claiming it ignored suspicious financial transactions involving Jeffrey Epstein while he was sexually abusing hundreds of girls and women.

Jay Clayton, who was in charge of DOJ Epstein redactions, holds between $1.5 million and $6 million worth of Apollo Global Management stock. Leon Black was under investigation by SDNY in 2023. Clayton is now the top prosecutor for that office. Leon Black left Apollo, the company he helped start, in 2021. Jay Clayton was also the independent investigator hired by Apollo to determine if Black engaged in malfeasance. Clayton determined there was none.

The source told the FBI that Epstein’s attorney Alan Dershowitz informed Alexander Acosta — then U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida — that Epstein “belonged to both U.S. and allied intelligence services.”
This is why, the source claims, Epstein walked in 2008 with a single state charge.

This is not just a source’s claim.
In 2019 the Miami Herald reported that Acosta himself told Trump transition officials the Epstein case was “above his pay grade” — that Epstein “belonged to intelligence” and he had been told to leave it alone.
The prosecutor who signed the deal confirmed the substance of it.

The document also records that the source monitored phone calls between Dershowitz and Epstein, taking notes during those calls.
After each call, according to the source, Mossad would contact Dershowitz to debrief.
The document states the source believed Dershowitz “was co-opted by Mossad and subscribed to their mission.”

“Epstein was close to the former Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak, and trained as a spy under him.”
Released Epstein files show Barak visited Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse more than 30 times between 2013 and 2017. That is separately documented.
