AHOLE Merrick Garland is to blame for how we got here, and we are wondering what he’s doing today.
Release the Epstein Files
USEFUL INFORMATION
Heeding Benjamin Franklin’s prescient proposal for “promoting useful knowledge,” the Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication seeks to share useful innovations, both in thought and in practice, with the aim of encouraging scholarly exchange and the subsequent benefits that are borne of scrutiny, experimentation and debate. As modes of scholarly communication, the technologies and economics of publishing, and the roles of libraries evolve, it is our hope that the work shared in this journal will inform practices that strengthen librarianship and that increase access to the “common Stock of Knowledge.”

THE MEDIA
The media are largely to blame that Trump always got away with it.
BillKristol
“Trump is at 18% approval, 70% disapproval on his handling of the Epstein matter. He’s also at 31% approval, 63% disapproval, on the issue of tariffs and on that of inflation—our old friend from the Biden presidency which may well bedevil Trump, too.”
Medicare for All would save $650 billion and 68,000 lives a year, per CBO and Yale. Trump’s budget bill increases the deficit by over $4 trillion, makes the largest cut to Medicaid in history and will cause 51,000 Americans to die unnecessarily each year-per CBO, Yale & Penn.
When this constituent asks GOP Rep. Mike Flood is he’d support Medicare For All, the Congressman says “We can’t afford that.”
The crowd at the town hall immediately starts booing.
“The rules are simple: they lie to us, we know they’re lying, they know we know they’re lying but they keep lying anyway, and we keep pretending to believe them.”
– Elena Gorokhova, A Mountain of Crumbs: A Memoir
The rumors about how trump treated his first wife, were no secret.
Remember that trump’s first wife Ivana testified that trump had raped her.
The resurfaced 1992 clip of Trump blaming a rape victim is not just a blast from the past; it’s a stark reminder of his troubling views on women. With Ivana Trump’s accusations and the recent $83.3 million defamation ruling, the pattern is clear. We can’t ignore this. Trump claims that any teenage girl out after midnight “is asking for it.” Tyson was convicted by a court of law. Trump’s implication that wealthy men believe they can coerce women into sexual situations without facing consequences. Someone has to stop him. Maybe one of those thousand FBI agents who knows what he did in the Epstein files.
When it takes 1000 FBI agents to scrub your name from the Epstein Files….
You’re a pedophile.
Bloomberg journalist Jason Leopold reported this morning that the president’s name has been redacted from more than 100,000 documents the FBI has on child-sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
@RichardAngwin
Trump’s victim-blaming in that 1987 interview exposes his long history of misogyny, from defending rapists like Tyson to his own Access Hollywood boasts, proving he’s always been unfit for any position of power.

Looks like Epstein’s Russian girlfriend of over a decade has been spying for Russian intelligence services.
Karyna Shuliak from Belarus was Epstein’s girlfriend around 2015. So we have a Russian connection to Epstein.
https://x.com/KremlinTrolls/status/1952147023244988519
Shuliak aka ‘the inspector’ met Epstein in 2009 and was the last person to talk to Epstein before his suicide on Aug 10, 2019. She is believed to be a major beneficiary of the Epstein estate, which is managed anonymously by the so-called ‘1953 trust’ Epstein created 2-days before his death. She was known as ‘the inspector’ for her obsessive snooping on Epstein during their relationship, and would seem if anyone had a dossier on Epstein, Shuliak does. I’m quite sure the Russians have all the information, and I’d be wanting to talk to her in any investigation into Epstein.
Bondi in 2024: There’s no legal basis for people to redact their name unless they’re “a child, a victim, or a cooperating defendant.”
Bondi’s FBI in 2025: Redacts Trump’s name from the Epstein Files.
In normal America, Republicans covering up the fact that Trump is a pedophile named in the Epstein files, would be a scandal.
In Trump’s America, we call it Monday.
“I’ve known Jeff [Epstein] for 15 years. Terrific guy, He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
Trump told New York magazine in 2002.
NEW: It’s barely audible, but a reporter asks Trump why he waited 7 YEARS after Epstein “stole” Giuffre to cancel his Mar-a-Lago membership.
Trump pretends not to understand.
This is his pressure point: what he knew, and when. He shuts down every time.
HE KNEW. KEEP ASKING.
Republicans change their minds on releasing the Epstein files more frequently than Trump changes his diapers, in addition to the leg braces, the Catheter and bag, the toe lifts that keep him from falling forward, the girdle, the Moob bra…
Demented Trump repeated his mystifying claim that he is reducing drug prices by “1500%.”

GERRYMANDERED ELECTIONS
Rep. Greg Casar just exposed Trump’s NATIONAL gerrymander plot – starting in Texas, then spreading to Missouri, Ohio, and Alabama.
“This fight is much bigger than Texas… Trump knows he can’t win, so he wants to rig the elections.”
This is a five-alarm fire.
“Texas Brags To Court That It Drew District Lines To ‘Increase GOP’s Electoral Prospects…
Governor JB Pritzker just slammed Donald Trump and Greg Abbott for trying to cheat their way to electoral victory. They know they are going to lose, and now they are trying to cheat. Good on Pritzker for calling out their BS.
A new threat to free and fair elections has emerged: the federal government. We chronicle the executive branch’s concerted strategy to push its way into election infrastructure where it doesn’t belong.

@briantylercohen
Yes, we know Illinois and Maryland are Dem gerrymanders. And WI, PA, NC, OH, FL, TX, UT are Republican gerrymanders. The Democrats support a nationwide ban on gerrymanders.
@BernieSanders
As we speak, Trump is pressuring the state of Texas to rig its Congressional maps to put more Republicans in office.
This is a significant uptick in Trump’s attacks on democracy. If you can’t win an election, then you rig it.
If he can do it in Texas, he can do it anywhere.
Garry Kasparov @Kasparov63

Bill Gates has been given approval to spray synthetic RNA on crops through his company, Terrana Biosciences. The gene-silencing tech bypasses DNA and rewires plants at the RNA level.
This means your food, soil, and gut could now be controlled by biotech—with no labels, no consent, and no long-term safety studies.
The RNA can linger in soil, spread via pollen, and possibly affect human microbiomes—all under emergency-use laws that protect corporate liability.

THE FED
Sen. Lummis slams the Fed, accusing it of blocking crypto innovation and “putting solvent banks out of business” – calls a US CBDC a “terrible idea.” Trump says he’ll name a new Fed governor next week – following Adriana Kugler’s resignation.
@federalreserve The Federal Reserve is actually not federal at all!
It’s a separate, individual agency that answers to no one. The board itself for the Federal Reserve is not federal per this judge.
The board itself for the Federal Reserve is not federal per this judge. A U.S. District Court judge on Monday rejected a legal bid by an investment fund to force the Federal Reserve to open to the public a meeting on setting interest rates this week.
The ruling found that the Federal Open Market Committee is not a government agency subject to the federal “Sunshine Act” requiring open
meetings, despite claims to the contrary in a lawsuit filed by Azoria Capital.

That’s across 9 chains: ETH, Tron, TON, Solana, BSC, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Polygon & Optimism
Hundreds of millions of people in emerging markets use Tether’s digital dollar USDt daily, to protect their families from local inflation and devaluation of their national currencies.
Blockchains that will focus on lower gas fees, allowing paying these in USDt will take over the world.

Great example of how @federalreserve mandarins are completely out of touch with the real world. And they seemingly WANT to be completely out of touch with the real world. From “The Lords of Easy Money” #ZIRP
“Fisher said that he had recently spoken with the chief financial officer of Texas Instruments, who explained how the company was managing money in the age of ZIRP. The company had just borrowed $1.5 billion in cheap debt, but it didn’t plan to use the cash to build a factory, invest in research, or hire workers. Instead, the company used the money to buy back shares of its own stock. This made sense because the stocks paid a dividend of 2.5 percent, while the debt only cost between 0.45 percent and 1.6 percent to borrow. It was a finely played maneuver of financial engineering that increased the company’s debt, drove up its stock price, and gave a handsome reward to shareholders. Fisher drove home the point by relating his conversation with the CFO. “He said-and I have his permission to quote-I’m not going to use it to create a single job,” Fisher reported. “And I think this is the issue. We work under the assumption that lowering the cost of capital and providing cheap money encourage businesses to lever up and to use that levering up to expand [capital investment] and job creation, which is part of our mandate. I don’t believe that’s happening.”
Fisher was describing, specifically, how ZIRP was already building up systemic risk in the economy without creating a single job. Bernanke rarely responded directly to such statements, but in this case he made an exception.
“Thank you,” Bernanke said. “President Fisher, I know we put a lot of value on anecdotal reports around this table, and often to great credit. But I do want to urge you not to overweight the macroeconomic opinions of private-sector people who are not trained in economics.” What a dick Bernanke is!

Stravinsky mugshot
“In 1940 Igor Stravinsky re-orchestrated ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ for the Boston Symphony. Someone alerted the Boston police, who arrived at Symphony Hall, confiscated the instrumental parts to the Stravinsky orchestration and arrested Stravinsky for ‘tampering with public property.'”
On April 15, 1940, Stravinsky’s unconventional major seventh chord in his arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner led to his arrest by the Boston police for violating a federal law that prohibited the reharmonization of the National Anthem.
