Fauci doesn’t promote wearing a mask
Former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has faced backlash for claiming that masks don’t work against COVID-19. In a recent interview with CNN’s Michael Smerconish, Fauci acknowledged that mask use of an overall population may only be marginally effective against disease transmission, but an individual who regularly wears a high-quality mask can be effectively protected. In December 2021, Fauci said that masks are a prudent thing to do and we should be doing it, and in December 2022, he acknowledged that there is a certain ‘fatigue’ about the mandates pertaining to COVID-19 even as cases begin to climb during the winter months.1 In a recent opinion piece published by The New York Times, lead study author Tom Jefferson, an Oxford epidemiologist, said that there is just no evidence that [masks] make any difference.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now advises people age 6 and older who are not immunocompromised to have at least one bivalent Moderna or Pfizer shot to be considered fully vaccinated. That means if you have never gotten a COVID-19 vaccine before, you only need to get one bivalent shot.  And, if you had previous versions of the vaccine (known as monovalent vaccines), you need to get a bivalent shot to be fully vaccinated.
The bivalent shot was introduced last fall to protect against the highly contagious omicron variant. People who are older than 65 can also get a second dose of the bivalent vaccine if their last one happened at least four months earlier.

Saudi Arabia’s cows are worth more than Arizona’s hard-working men and women. The question boils down to whether Arizona’s groundwater should primarily serve its residents or be used for Saudi Arabian livestock. This raises concerns about resource allocation and priorities.
