Says that we’ve been “ignoring” the current summer wave, despite the fact that COVID is “predictable” and that we’ve seen summer waves each year — in 2020, 2021, 2022 and now 2023.
“If you can hear my voice and you know two or three people who have COVID, that means that 5% to 10% of your friends already have COVID. That means there is a lot of COVID out there and we’re not testing for it.”
(CDC) released new numbers, showing a 21% increase in COVID deaths. Overall, rates remain much lower than in previous summers but the latest numbers have some experts concerned — especially as updated fall boosters remain weeks away.

His refusal to turn over discovery materials and then his “I admit I was wrong but not really so the case is moot but I don’t have to pay any damages” filings have worn out the judge. She’s ruled that he is de facto liable and that the jury will only determine damages. She added that he can still reverse this and get a normal trial if he complies with all the orders – but he’s not going to do that.
