A hacker is someone who figures out something nobody else has figured out.
A Cracker is someone who figures out how to do something illegal and does it.

I am joining @AWeissmann_ in calling for the resignation of Christopher Wray @FBI director for, at the very least, gross incompetence, & at the very worst, turning a blind eye to the 1/6 insurrection that was to happen. He is partially responsible for the death & destruction.

He then sends a message directly to Kellye SoRelle, Oath Keepers lawyer now separately charged: “This will be DC rally number three. Getting kinda old. They don’t give a shit how many show up and wave a sign, pray, or yell. They won’t fear us til we come with rifles in hand.”

The White House just moved to hold AI more accountable
It’s the first big step to hold AI to account.
However, critics say the plan lacks teeth and the US needs even tougher regulation around AI.

The White House wants Americans to know: The age of AI accountability is coming. President Joe Biden has today unveiled a new AI Bill of Rights, which outlines five protections Americans should have in the AI age.
Biden has previously called for stronger privacy protections and for tech companies to stop collecting data. But the US—home to some of the world’s biggest tech and AI companies—has so far been one of the only Western nations without clear guidance on how to protect its citizens against AI harms.

Trump Erased Millions of Possible PPP Fraud Flags in Last Days in Office in Donald Trump’s final days in office, his administration rushed to eliminate oversight for loans which were flagged for potential fraud or further investigation — and wiped flags from nearly every one of the largest PPP loans. The Trump administration went on a spree of eliminating flags on PPP loans, the majority of which went directly to personally enriching the richest Americans. Officials in the Small Business Administration (SBA) eliminated 2.7 million flags between December 2020 and January 2021, as the administration was in its lame duck period. Many loans went directly to the rich. Several billionaires or companies owned by billionaires received loans, like Republican fundraiser Joe Farrell or Kanye West’s apparel company, valued at $3 billion. One loan went to a hotel owned by West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice, a Republican who is the richest man in the state and a former billionaire.

The GOP is full of criminals. Ted Cruz admitted that every Senator in Congress knew Trump had at least one impeachable offense, but they chose party over country.

“This is a game-changer for prosecutors”: Proud Boy pleads guilty — flips on leaders tied to Trump

Former Uber security chief convicted of covering up 2016 data breach
Surprise verdict on charges that predated rampant ransomware and extortion payoffs in more recent hacking cases

. The verdict ended a dramatic case that pitted Sullivan, a prominent security expert who was an early prosecutor of cybercrimes for the San Francisco U.S. attorney’s office, against his former government office. In between prosecuting hackers and being prosecuted, Sullivan served as the top security executive at Facebook, Uber and Cloudflare.

Rudy Giuliani will be going to jail today if he can’t come up with the over $225K that he owes his ex-wife.

  1. Judge Katz has put the Sheriff is “on notice” to arrest Rudy Giuliani for contempt by the end of toda. Giuliani claims he is being sued in “13-14 different cases” and that he is “in a different financial situation than I was in before.”
Aren’t there any charitable Russian oligarchs who want to give Rudy Giuliani $225K so he can stay out of prison?
    Happy Friday!

“Rudy Giuliani ‘completely absorbed the lesson of Russian disinformation’ while working for Trump. Giuliani learned that “the allegation can be just as damaging as the action.”

  3. @DashDobrofsky Republicans claim Donald Trump was “tough on China.” But in reality, his daughter Ivanka received over 13 Chinese trademarks — ranging from Chinese coffins to Chinese voting machines. Ivanka invested in Communism — as her “tough on China” father occupied the American White House. One cannot be “tough” on China and claim to be “against” Communism — while simultaneously investing in China and profiteering off a Communist state. Ivanka Trump was never asked about this by any reporters. Nor was Trump. But the record speaks for itself:

    Does Trump incite political violence?
Let me put it this way: In the five years after Trump was elected in 2016, the number of recorded threats against members of Congress soared more than tenfold to 9,625 last year.
