Save the Date! AAAS Family Science Days, Feb. 19-20 in D.C.
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) plans two free Family Science Days, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday, February 19-20, at the Washington Convention Center, Exhibit Hall D.

In addition to an array of booths offering hands-on science learning activities, AAAS plans a “Meet the Scientists” series of brief interactive presentations featuring charismatic science educators. For example, performance artists Lelavision with David Lynn will explore the evolution of life through an unique fusion of dance and music. Lynford Goddard, winner of the first-ever AAAS Early Career Award for Public Engagement with Science, will guide students through a demonstration called “Experimenting with Experiments.” Hod Lipson will demonstrate 3D bioprinting during a presentation on biologically inspired robots. Other presentations will encompass computer science, mathematics, and the forces of flight.
