Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn’t actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country’s exports to us.
So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.

What happens today is unnecessary action taken by Trump to destroy our economy. An enemy of the United States could never do such harm, unless they had the power of the presidency combined with the fealty of an entire political party and with a network of controlled media.
Let’s not forget that Trump has destroyed the best economy in the world in less than three months. All under the guise of greatness while only taking actions that help his master, Putin.
This is Trump running the country like one of his businesses — for all of the people who asked for that like it was going to be a good thing.

Literally ZERO countries in the world have tariffs as high as Trump is claiming.
Trump’s tariff lies are just another con, claiming China’s tariffs are 67% when they’re really 7.5%, and inflating others by 3-10x. It’s all noise, no substance, designed to mislead Americans while his policies risk jacking up prices for us all. Same old Trump: big talk, bigger mess.
