I distinctly recall Justice Alito’s snarky, patronizing comment, after authoring the opinion in Dobbs that overturned Roe, that if women didn’t like it, they could vote.

There are NO insignificant elections in our country right now. From local school boards to state legislatures to referendums on abortion, they ALL matter. One party disdains & discourages voting. The other encourages it & fights for your right to do so. Who represents you?#Vote

Hard for MAGA repubs to backtrack now. They’re all on record supporting a federal nationwide abortion ban without exceptions and/or bragging about Roe being overturned. Most of them (like @SpeakerJohnson …2nd in the presidential line of succession) would ban contraception too. The Christofascists are fuming today.
Last night was also a bad night for #BucksCounty @RepBrianFitz.
The self-anointed “moderate” endorsed three far-right MAGA/Moms for Liberty-backed school board candidates who @CBSDSchools and @PennridgeSD voters overwhelmingly rejected. #PA01 may be ready for a change in 2024.

BREAKING NEWS: There has been a devastating chemical explosion 60 miles north of Houston.
The Sound Resource Solutions makes solvents for glue and paint remover and the building is said to house chemicals known to have “acute toxins, carcinogenicity, and reproductive toxicity.”
The blast happened along U.S. Highway 59 in Shepherd. The city in located in San Jacinto County.
Officials are saying, “at this time, the effects of the chemical in the air are unknown.”
U.S. Highway 59 is remained closed from FM 1988 to Exit 451B as emergency responders work at the scene.
