What if, and bear with me, the Republican Party has always been an organized crime syndicate that steals elections in order to steal from the rest of us?
Nixon got elected by doing an illegal deal with the Vietnamese.
Reagan got elected by doing an illegal deal with Iran. Reagan’s deal with Iran and Bush going over there before the election.
Bush got elected by covering up Iran-Contra.
W got elected by cheating in Florida.
Trump got elected by colluding with Russia.
Almost like a pattern.

In 2020, the same people tried to overthrow another election, this time using the levers of government power—from the White House. When that failed, they planned a violent insurrection of the Capitol.
Cheating is the only way they win.
The central weakness the insurgency plans to exploit is a contingent election, which is the mechanism for choosing the President if the winner gets less than 270 electoral votes.
No Republican won the popular vote since the ‘80s yet dems still always concede gracefully.
Fight back damnit. The Democrats either don’t fight hard enough, too scared of the potential recourses of holding people accountable, or are complicit.
In that case, it “gets thrown to the House.”

It’s almost as if conservatism taken at face value is bad for America and most Americans know that. The only way Republicans can achieve power then is through distraction and voter suppression, because no one likes their policies when they are reminded/understand what they are.
