This guy is cracking me up.

Some American anthropologists came to China in 1901, said “show us how you eat rice!” and my man really delivered.
Taken during the “Jacob H. Schiff Chinese Expedition” (1901-1904).

Is this Jacob H. Schiff the famous financier?
Wikipedia doesn’t have anything about him visiting China, though he did a lot of business in Japan
I think he just funded it?

The granddaughter of the guy who financed the anthropological expedition that captured this photos owned the New York Post for like 40 years.

The expedition also collected phonograph recordings of folk music, which still exist
