Bitcoin! is legal. All the fuddy duddy folks at your money management company will need to recommend it for your retirement portfolio or they will be considered negligent, and hopefully get fired.
People are under valuing this: the strategic bitcoin reserve announcement is huge for moving the overton window, the actual US government promoting bitcoin. This provides a new ultimate reference for sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, mutual funds to add bitcoin allocations.
The big takeaway from the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve?
The US, issuer of the world’s reserve currency, just validated #Bitcoin as a credible, neutral reserve asset. The magnitude is hard to overstate. A global reserve asset shouldn’t be worth the same as Amazon. Soon, it won’t be.
After WW2, the world was decimated. The US was the only industrial power left standing. Europe and Japan were in ruins. The world needed to rebuild, and the US took the lead. How? The US funded global reconstruction with efforts like the Marshall Plan and Bretton Woods.
We are witnessing the unwind of the WW2 economic order.
What’s happening now is much bigger than tariffs. For nearly 80 years the US exported dollars while importing goods & debt. That system is failing.

3) Reduce the Fed’s permissible surplus (requires congressional approval. but doesn’t require specific on use of proceeds). For background: pre-2015, Fed had limitless surplus, then lowered to $10B (highway bill),
then reduced to $78 in 2018.
4) Lobby IMF to include BTC in SDRs (last review 2022, next in 2027). Phased integration like CNY in 2016?
Likely no congressional vote would require lobbying from lawmakers.
5) Bitcoin Bonds – u.s. Treasury issues bonds priced above par, with a small portion of the proceeds used to buy Bitcoin and the remainder financing government operations. The Bitcoin would be held as collateral
and returned to bondholders in-kind upon maturity, potentially alongside principal repayment in dollars (would likely require congressional approval as “material change” to structure of US debt.
6) Sell the 1.433 Billion pounds of Cheese stored in Missouri caves. Estimated value = —$2 to 4B. (Most of the cheese is privately held, but USDA can sell excess dairy without congressional approval.)
7) % of DOGE savings? unclear if general savings like this fit the bill.
