In a disturbingly real deepfake video, President Nixon breaks the news that NASA failed and astronauts died on the moon.

FACT: WE DID GO TO THE MOON
FACT: THERE WAS NO DISASTER

#Deepfakes are video forgeries that make people appear to be doing or saying things they aren’t. Deepfake software has made manipulated videos accessible and increasingly harder to detect as fake.

MIT and Mozilla want people to better understand the disturbing power of deepfake videos in a new project called In Event of Moon Disaster.

Wearing a small piece of cloth in front of my face to help slow the spread of a deadly disease

PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY

ASK NOT WHAT
YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU.

ASK WHAT YOU
CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY.

~ ROB JULY 3, 2020

2008: Waterboarding is not torture!!

2020: Wearing a small piece of cloth in front of my face to help slow the spread of a deadly disease is literally torture!!”

Not a fair comparison.

Waterboarding is something we DO to other people to extract unreliable confessions because freedom.

Wearing a small piece of cloth in front of our faces is something DONE to us by an oppressive government because no freedom.

Do you see the difference?

PALANTIR IS EVIL

Palantir Knows Everything  About You

Palantir, the data-mining company co-founded by [paypal] Peter Thiel, was named after a mystical, all-powerful seeing stone in “Lord of the
Rings.”
Trump’s paid Peter Thiel’s Palantir $1.5B so far to build ICE’s mass-surveillance network
the US government has at least 29 active contracts with the company worth approximately $1.5 billion. This covers Palantir’s work with all four branches of the military, Border Patrol, ICE, and Homeland Security, but it doesn’t even touch on the hundreds of contracts it has with local law enforcement throughout the country. He was the President’s seventh largest campaign donor in 2016 and remains a staunch ally. But it wasn’t President Trump who brought Palantir into the country’s fold, that distinguishment belongs to President Barack Obama.
Palantir is considered evil because the people who run it have strong beliefs about what they want the future to look like, and they act aggressively on those beliefs. Palantir struggles with clients for whom there’s no clear and present evil. When there’s no bad guy, there is a danger that Palantir itself can go rogue with its arrogance.
Peter Thiel’s data-mining company is using War on Terror tools to track American citizens. The scary thing? Palantir is desperate for new customers.

The Evil List

TRUMP’S REPUBLICAN FRIENDUnderstanding How Peter Thiel Got Rich
Just prior to 1990, Thiel was finishing a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Stanford University. In 1992, he completed a law degree at Stanford. After graduation, he clerked on a federal appeals court for about one year before he was invited to interview for clerkships with Supreme Court Justices Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia.

The “PayPal Mafia” is a group of former PayPal employees and founders who have since founded and developed additional technology companies such as Tesla, Inc., LinkedIn, Palantir Technologies, SpaceX, YouTube, Yelp, and Yammer. Most of the members attended Stanford University or University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign at some point in their studies.
