Honoring the fallen means more than remembrance—it means defending the freedom they died for.

On this Memorial Day, let’s remember all the legislation passed by Democrats to help veterans.
GI Bill ’44: Education/housing
Medicare ’65: Vet healthcare
Vet Health ’83: Agent Orange care
Vet Health ’92: VA access
Post-9/11 GI Bill ’08: Tuition aid
Camp Lejeune ’12: Toxic exposure
VA Choice ’14: Private care
VA MISSION ’18: Caregiver aid
PACT Act ’22: Toxin care

From Liz Cheney/Adam Kinzinger:
To those of you who don’t know what’s buried in the bill just passed by the GOP Congress.
Prepare yourself:
• He can delay or cancel elections!
• He can ignore SCOTUS rulings for a year or more.
• He can fire government workers for political disloyalty.
• Judges can’t enforce orders.
• Protests can be tracked and criminalized.
• Your VPN? Tracked.
• Your vote? Suppressed.
. Your speech? Flagged.
This bill doesn’t break the law. It rewrites it.
If this bill passes, Donald will be a dictator and democracy is gone.

Offices at the Capitol are closed, but their inboxes aren’t. Tell Senators right now, no cuts to health care or food assistance–period.

Why isn’t more of the media covering how incoherent and weird Trump’s speeches are?
Because Republicans OWN every major news outlet in the country.
They used their trillions in tax breaks to buy the newspapers, radio stations, TV stations, and yes, social media platform.

Trump keeps saying his tax bill won’t cut Medicaid. Surprise! His “AI and crypto czar” says it will! By a mere $880 billion.

Elon never found his $2T in waste and fraud, but he did gut and take control of the federal agencies investigating and regulating his companies while pretending to look for it — which was always the plan.
There’s a reason he spent $291 million to elect Trump.

Elon Musk: When you stop waste and fraud, it’s not like the fraudsters admit their guilt. They don’t say like, oh, isn’t it so great that the money we were getting, fortunately has been stopped. They will obviously come up with a sympathetic sounding claim but that claim has no merit.

Elon Musk’s corporate interests, particularly his companies Tesla and SpaceX, have received significant government assistance over the years. According to a Washington Post analysis, Musk and his businesses have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits. This figure includes:
Tesla: Since 2007, Tesla has benefited from approximately $1.5 billion in state and local tax credits, grants, and reimbursements, along with an additional $2.1 billion from various government agencies at multiple levels. These funds have been crucial for the development of Tesla’s electric vehicles and battery technology.
SpaceX: SpaceX has received substantial government funding, particularly through contracts with NASA and the Department of Defense. This includes early conceptual work funded by DARPA starting in 2003, and ongoing contracts that have helped SpaceX become a dominant player in the space launch industry. By 2018, SpaceX had more than 100 launches on its manifest, representing about $12 billion in contract revenue, much of which came from government sources.
This government assistance has been pivotal in the growth and success of Musk’s enterprises, despite his public stance on reducing government spending and inefficiency.
