Noting: “Donald Trump willfully broke the law.” “Two separate grand juries supported these findings” “We developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he engaged in criminal activity”
Jack Smith just said that Trump intimidated witnesses via death threats!
“I had grave concerns about obstruction of justice in this investigation, specifically with regards to Donald Trump… I was aware during the course of our investigation, of targeting of witnesses, during the course of the conspiracy itself. There were election workers who had their lives turned upside down and received vile death threats because they were targeted by Donald Trump… Donald Trump suggested that one witness should be put to death and also made a statement to the effect of ‘if you come after me, I’m coming after you.’ In my mind, I can’t think of a more direct threat.”
Jack Smith: “As I testify before the Committee today, I want to be clear: I stand by my decisions as Special Counsel, including my decision to bring charges against President Trump. Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in criminal activity. If asked whether to prosecute a former President based on the same facts today, I would do so regardless of whether that President was a Republican or a Democrat.”
Rep. Raskin: “[Congressional Republicans] have been saying that there’s some kind of First Amendment defense that Donald Trump would have had to the crimes you indicted him for.” Jack Smith: “The First Amendment does not protect speech that facilitates a crime.”
Smith: I made my decisions without regard to president trump’s political association, activities, beliefs or candidacy in the 2024 election. President Trump was charged because the evidence established that he willfully broke the law, the very laws he took an oath to uphold.

Grand juries in 2 separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions. Rather than accept his defeat in the 2020, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power. After leaving office in January 2021, President Trump illegally kept classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago social club and repeatedly tried to obstruct justice to conceal his continued retention of those documents. Highly sensitive national security information was held in a ballroom and bathroom.”
Jack Smith just laid it out in plain English: Trump didn’t “question” the election. He ran a criminal scheme to overturn it. Pressure state officials to ignore real vote counts. Manufacture fake electors in 7 states. Coerce his Vice President to break his oath. Send a mob to the Capitol to stop certification. Then use the violence to buy more time. That’s not politics. That’s a coup attempt.

It was never about curtailing waste, fraud, and abuse.
The DOJ just admitted DOGE was “secretly” in touch with advocacy groups “seeking to overturn election results.”
The idea being: use a trove of personal information to disenfranchise voters and change election results. DOGE accessing your data was illegal. Using it to overturn election results is illegal. We must hold the DOGE staff involved accountable.

U.S. Attorneys are inferior officers. As Todd is aware, the Constitution explicitly permits Congress to vest the appointment of inferior officers in “Courts of Law.”
He shall have Power, by and with the
Advice and Consent of the Senate, to
make Treaties, provided two thirds of the
Senators present concur; and he shall
nominate, and by and with the Advice
and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint
Ambassadors, other public Ministers and
Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court,

Even if U.S. attorneys were principal officers, the president’s appointment power is subject to advice and consent of the Senate. President Trump could resolve the U.S. Attorney issue in EDVA by nominating a candidate that the Republican-controlled Senate will actually confirm.

BITCOIN JESUS A billionaire known as “Bitcoin Jesus” was under indictment for massive criminal tax fraud and very likely going to prison.
Then, he hired a “Friend of Trump” and the criminal charges disappeared.

I initially bought Bitcoin for $4 per coin. Not because I understood the tech (I didn’t). Not because I saw the future (I couldn’t).
