When she died her body was interred at her church in Kildare, where her memory was honored by keeping a fire forever burning. Hence the church was known as the House of Fire, until in 1220 the Archbishop of Dublin, “to take away all occasion of superstition,” ordered the fire to be extinguished. Bridget’s Fire was not extinguished.

The Maine economy is integrated with Canada, our most important trading partner. Certain tariffs will impose a significant burden on many families, manufacturers, the forest products industry, small businesses, lobstermen, and agricultural producers.

The Air National Guard Base in Bangor depends completely on jet fuel and diesel from Canada. Do not quit your jobs Federal employees. Your jobs are guaranteed. You have job security after so many years. Federal employment is not Twitter. Add the resignation monies have not been approved so quit at your own risk.
