My advice to the Biden campaign folks would be to drop the statistical presentation of accomplishments.
Start using guttural language that hits people in the EMOTIONAL center of their brain, and makes them FEEL things.
Fight fire with fire. Just have a biggest and most intense fire.
When you see “fuck” in one of my posts, it’s not because I have a limited vocabulary.
It’s because I understand the effectiveness of taboo words and how the physiological and emotional changes they create in the reader when I’m wanting to usher a particular point to a more enduring place in their working memory.
I know that the number of people who will be positively impacted by the longevity of my message…because of my strategic use of taboo words, will far out number the people who are offended by it. I know the risk/reward ratio.
With information…we think. With emotions…we act. When you can line the two up in the same direction…good shit happens.
When you leave out the emotional side, your message will be impotent and lifeless.
We’re not going to win this election by out “professionalizing” our opponents. We will win only because we had more fire in the gut than the other side.
Fire in the gut is the difference that will make the difference.
