APPLY FOR A PENNSYLVANIA MAIL-IN BALLOT

 

Mail-In Paper Application Request

if you plan to vote using an absentee or mail-in ballot in the 2021 MUNICIPAL ELECTION held on 11/02/2021, your completed application must be received in the county office by 5:00 PM on 10/26/2021. The deadline to return your voted absentee or mail-in ballot is 8:00 PM on 11/02/2021.

In Pennsylvania, you have two options for mail ballots.

  • Mail-in ballot – Any qualified voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. You may simply request this ballot without a reason.

  • Absentee ballot – If you plan to be out of the municipality on election day or if you have a disability or illness that prevents you from going to your polling place on election day, you can request this ballot type, which still requires you to list a reason for your ballot.

In order to request either ballot type, you must be registered to vote.

Deadlines for the November 2 Municipal Election

  • October 26, 2021 at 5 pm – APPLICATIONS for a mail-in or absentee ballot must be received by your county election board.
  • November 2, 2021 at 8 pm – VOTED BALLOTS must be RECEIVED by your county election office – postmarks are not enough.
