We’re supposed to believe we can’t afford a health care system that prioritizes people over profit. But Medicare for All would reduce administrative health care costs by $500 billion/year. Enabling the government to negotiate drug prices would save $456 billion over 10 years.
I heard somewhere that Americans are against public healthcare because they think the prices they pay are the real prices. Like they think governments will have to pay these astronomical numbers. They don’t realize they’re paying for CEO’s to buy jets, helicopters, and pilots, and how about 15 different law firms on retainer while however many are inhouse on the payroll ….. not for actual medicine.

In case anyone doubted the importance of participating in the US Census, if 89 more people were counted in New York, we would have kept that House seat.
US population has grown by 234 million people since 1913 but House of Representatives hasn’t expanded from 435 seats since then. That’s insane.
If I intentionally suppress 1000 voters in an election, the count of the remainder who actually voted can be “accurate,” but the result is not legit. Same with a census.
