A settlement between Dunkin’ Brands and the New York attorney general’s office over a 2015 data breach could lead to a flood of lawsuits by other states and consumers. A series of credential stuffing attacks affected consumers who used the donut chain’s rewards cards, and the settlement requires restitution and the payment of $650,000 in fines.
