Snowden has always been right about everything.

Trump is responsible for the skyrocketing death rate. It’s called murder. He must be removed for it. Sidelining public health experts & staging a religious infomercial for Trump’s re-election. That’s disgusting political exploitation of a public health crisis. Listening to the GOP Sen. Ron Johnson party of Death guy say  “Death is an unavoidable part of life,”  as he calls on reopening parts of the American economy to avoid throwing it into a recession. Money Trump’s their 2 faced  Right To Life motto – can’t do business if your dead.

Someone who invested in this stimulus would be getting the power of data. Get a farady bag for your phone. When using it, take it out. When you’re not, close it up.

They announce this as if this isn’t how data has been tracked for years.
The CDC will set up a coronavirus ‘surveillance and data collection system’ as part of the $2 trillion stimulus bill, which President Trump just signed into law.
The $6T stimulus includes $500M for surveillance and $0M for R&D. Seems like the pandemic was just an excuse to find the things govt already wanted to find. Of the funding allocated to the CDC, the stimulus sets aside at least 500 million for public health data surveillance and modernizing the analytics infrastructure. The CDC must report on the development of a “surveillance and data collection system” within the next 30 days. While it’s not clear what form that surveillance system will take, the federal government has reportedly expressed interest in aggregating data that can be gleaned from tech platforms and smartphone use to monitor movement patterns.

The most critical mission of any spy agency is the capture of their own legislature. Since 2013 we’ve seen it in Germany, France, China, the UK, Russia, and the Netherlands. Now we see it in America, too. ~ Edward Snowden @Snowden

#Snowden’s response to the ‘I’ve got nothing to hide’ #privacy argument is excellent!
“Arguing that you don’t care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don’t care about free speech because you have nothing to say.

The word “privacy” is generally used as a euphemism for power. Knowing this, you can safely substitute the word “power” for “privacy” nearly everywhere it appears.
