Ronald Reagan. This is where it all started. Money for the rich started with him. He gave the super rich tax cuts from 73% down to 28%.
When he saw what he had done, he decided to put a tax on social security to make up the difference.
These huge tax cuts brought about Reagan’s “Trickle Down Theory.” In theory, the rich were supposed to give raises to workers and create jobs. Instead, they just hoarded the money and bought bigger yachts and houses.
He was a union buster. He fired 11,000 air traffic controllers and banned them from federal service for life.
Believe it or not, MAGA started in 1980. Ronald Reagan’s campaign slogan was, “Let’s Make America Great Again.”
The Heritage Foundation (Project 2025) is nothing new. Reagan used 60% of their proposals in his first year in office.
