WATCH Oversight of Financial Regulators
Three financial regulators testified before the Senate Banking Committee on a range of oversight issues including digital currencies, banking liquidity rules, and the impact of climate change on the financial industry. The witnesses also addressed banking security and an earlier announcement made by the Justice Department, charging a Russian hacking group known as “Evil Corp.” of stealing at least $100 million from banks using malicious software.

THE COMMITTEE ON BANKING, HOUSING, AND URBAN AFFAIRS will meet in OPEN SESSION to conduct a hearing on “Oversight of Financial Regulators.” The witnesses will be: The Honorable Joseph M. Otting, Comptroller of the Currency, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; The Honorable Randal K. Quarles, Vice Chair for Supervision, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; The Honorable Jelena McWilliams, Chairman, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; and The Honorable Rodney E. Hood, Chairman, National Credit Union Administration.
All hearings are webcast live and will not be available until the hearing starts.
