Walz at artillery training in Wyoming in 1992 and as a new Army recruit many years prior. He spent a quarter-century in the Guard, and retired as a command sergeant major—one of the highest enlisted ranks in the military. He also served in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Tim Walz signed a law codifying abortion rights in the Minnesota state constitution in 2023.
The same year, he issued two separate executive orders designed to shield traveling patients and Minnesota providers from abortion and gender-affirming care penalties issued by other. Walz fits so incredibly well to the voters Dems need. Progressives can win if they are aligned with voters everyday values. And Walz is.

With Walz as the Democratic pick for VP, it means Peggy Flanagan would presumably become the next Governor of Minnesota. There has never been a Native female governor of a state.
Flanagan is Anishinaabe from the White Earth Nation.

A memo @CREWcrew obtained showed then-AG Bill Barr covered for Donald Trump when the Mueller report came out. New reporting suggests Barr may have similarly undermined an investigation into a possible illegal contribution to the Trump campaign from Egypt. Justice Alito chose not to recuse from two major cases that were raising questions of whether he could be impartial. We have every reason to doubt whether he’ll recuse the next time he appears partial to one side of the case.
He needs to resign. If Justice Alito truly cared rebuilding the public’s trust in the Supreme Court, he would do the right thing and resign. Dozens of Trump’s Truth Social posts prove that Congress needs to protect experts and civil servants from the loyalty purges that Project 2025 groups are planning.
Judge rules that Google ‘is a monopolist’ in US antitrust case
Judge Amit Mehta ruled in favor of the Department of Justice, writing that Google has maintained a monopoly in the search and advertising markets.“It has violated Section 2 of the Sherman Act.”
Judge Amit Mehta’s decision represents a major victory for the Department of Justice, which accused Google of illegally monopolizing the online search market. It’s not yet clear what specifically this will mean for the future of Google’s business, as this initial finding is only about Google’s liability, not about remedies.

Heather Morgan and Ilya Lichtenstein were arrested last year in New York after police traced their riches back to the crypto heist.
While evading police, Morgan masqueraded as a rapper and tech entrepreneur.
As part of a plea deal, Lichtenstein admitted he was behind the hack.
The couple both pleaded guilty to money laundering, but Morgan pleaded guilty to an additional count of conspiracy to defraud the United States.

@BoringSleuth We began researching Crypto when it became lawless, and was obvious that accountability was nowhere to be found, and normal people like you and I had nowhere safe to to place our funds without fear of it being stolen. Even worse, we had no where to go with information that would be safe and not buried or used against us. We were forced to use our voices to warn the public, since no agencies could be trusted.
