So Joe Biden, who mumbles in public about “having the authority” to continue to pay the nation’s bills, has signaled intention to file OPPOSITION to the case challenging the constitutionality of the debt ceiling statute.

They scheduled the hearing for May 31. The approximate X-date is a day later. Just malpractice. They are demonstrably opposed to challenging the debt limit. They believe in it.

A week from Weds, 5/31, a U.S. district court will hear arguments in a lawsuit brought by a federal employee union (@NAGE_National) that claims adherence to the debt ceiling is unconstitutional. They’re seeking a emergency injunction motion just days before a potential default. Judge Richard Stearns, a Clinton appointee, will hear the case in Massachusetts.
@NAGE_National wants to avoid furloughs/missed paychecks for its members, which would likely occur in a default scenario.

The lawsuit also asserts that the President does not have the power to prioritize payments. They need that option if a deal isn’t reached. Let’s see what the actual response says.
