Doug Mastriano Prayed for MAGA to ‘Seize the Power’ Ahead of Jan. 6

Caught on Tape: Doug Mastriano Prayed for MAGA to ‘Seize the Power’ Ahead of Jan. 6” “The content of & context of Mastriano’s participation on the call gives lie to his protestations that he’s neither affiliated with NAR nor a Christian Nationalist.” 1/

In a Dec. 2020 meeting with Christian Nationalists, the man who would become the GOP PA nominee for governor prayed Congress would “disregard” Pennsylvania’s election results.

“God I ask you that you help us roll in these dark times, that we fear not the darkness, that we will seize our Esther and Gideon moments,” the man said, invoking a pair of Old Testament heroes who made themselves instruments of God’s vengeance. “We’re surrounded by wickedness and fear, and dithering, and inaction,” he added, “But that’s not our problem. Our problem is following Your lead.” Looking ahead to Jan 6, the man said: “I pray that… we’ll seize the power that we had given to us by the Constitution, and as well by You, providentially. I pray for the leaders also in the federal government, God, on the Sixth of January that they will rise up with boldness.”

 VOTE BLUE ELECT
Bennet (CO) Warnock (GA) Kelly (AZ) Cortez Masto (NV) Hassan (NH) Fetterman (PA) Ryan (OH) Barnes (WI)

We win 7 of these races, Manchin & Sinema become irrelevant.

If we get it done, Dems can deliver transformative change — w/o being blocked by the filibuster.

Trump’s army of God: Doug Mastriano and the Christian nationalist attack on democracy

Pennsylvania lawmaker is a Christian zealot, an academic fraud and an insurrectionist. He’s the tip of the iceberg

Christian nationalism … draws its roots from “Old Testament” parallels between America and Israel, who was commanded to maintain cultural and blood purity, often through war, conquest, and separatism.

the New Apostolic Reformation — could be more clearly defined, and doing that can shed light on Christian nationalism’s lesser-known, but more nefarious fellow-traveler, Dominionism — a creed that adds two more elements: a belief in “biblical law,” as adherents define it, and the religious supremacy of their version of Christianity.

How I decided to call out the ‘toxic culture’ of CS

How I decided to call out the ‘toxic culture’ of CS

Edward Lee, a professor emeritus at Berkeley, wrote a blog post chastising the rejection culture at computer science conferences. Here’s the story of how he decided to write it and why it went viral.

Wannabe computer science superstars must all run the same rather scary and capricious gauntlet, one that sounds deceptively dull: the computer science conference paper review process. To have a research paper accepted for presentation at a CS conference is a coveted rite of passage among academics and professionals, bestowing on its author a status symbol that can open the door to tenure or competitive job offers.

Last month, the University of California, Berkeley’s much-respected Edward Lee, a professor emeritus of electrical engineering and computer sciences who for several decades has served on program committees that judge research papers, caused an uproar in the CS community after he publicly shared a scathing review of the system, which he’d sent earlier to fellow judges. Program committee members who decide which papers are accepted are volunteers, members of the academic community who agree to spend hours of their time (theoretically) reading submissions, writing opinions and voting on whether papers are worthy of the hallowed halls of whatever conference is in session.

REMEMBER THIS
Twenty years ago on Sept. 8, 2002, Dick Cheney appeared on Meet the Press, starting the push for the invasion of Iraq.
He cited a piece in the NYT from that morning which falsely claimed Iraq got aluminum tubes for a nuclear bomb.
💡 But the administration planted that story.

Bitcoin Mining Threatens America’s Climate Change Efforts, White House Science and Tech Department Says

“White House says U.S. Congress may consider legislation to BAN Proof of Work #Bitcoin mining. ” Governments attempting bitcoin mining bans are not a threat to bitcoin but large miners are who may collaborate with them to save their business interests.

Myth: Bitcoin mining destroys the  planet.

#Bitcoin mining does NOT waste energy, it consumes energy waste💡  Don’t trust politicians who say it wastes energy. Stop calling #BTC money & call it cyber power. You cannot stop Proof of Work mining.

You won’t solve climate change by trying to eradicate something that accounts for 0.1% of all energy consumption and mostly runs on clean power.

Most of@WHOSTP’s report on Bitcoin’s climate impact is conjecture and not based on sound science.
@WHOSTP’s report on Crypto-Assets relies heavily (18 times!) on exaggerated data from a personal “hobby” blog run by Alex “Digiconomist” DeVries—an employee of the Dutch Central Bank which is developing a Euro CBDC. His blog uses dubious methodology and is not peer-reviewed. 1/
How is it that an administration that is dedicated to the ideals of “sound science” managed to produce a report that cites the personal “hobby site” blog of a professionally-motivated Dutch Central Bank employee *18 TIMES* for @POTUS? This is an embarrassment for @WHOSTP.

Just In the last two months:

  • Michael Saylor & Microstrategy Sued for “Tax Fraud”
  • White House Report: Ban Bitcoin Mining
  • Open Source Software Sanctioned by US Treasury

Within this decade policymakers will stop trying to ban #Bitcoin mining and instead do everything they can to attract it to their region. It’s going to be fun to watch every utility, power company, microgrid, grid operator, and EV company adopt #Bitcoin mining over the next decade. #Bitcoin mining saved the small town of Rockdale, Texas.

#Bitcoin mining is the key to electrification of the economy. It will solve the problems created by renewables and will provide utilities the revenue needed for EV infrastructure.

💡 Solar & Wind “don’t match where” & “don’t match when” most customers want it.
💡 Bitcoin mining “doesn’t care where” & “doesn’t care when” power is produced.
💡 This makes Bitcoin the catalyst for the renewable transition.

Skimming through the latest IEA report on Africa, one thing stands out – 43% of Africa’s population does not have access to electricity. Over 80% are in rural areas.
💡 The solution? Mini- grids. But how can these be financed? Partly, bitcoin mining. /1

The White House 🇺🇸 reports #bitcoin mining has benefits!

#Bitcoin can “incentivize the construction of additional renewable energy capacity” and is “likely to help rather than hinder U.S. climate objectives” by reducing methane emissions!

New report by @ArcaneResearch “Many of the harshest critics lack an understanding of both Bitcoin and energy systems. In this report, we highlight how bitcoin mining can alter energy systems for the better.”

Jason Lowery “The answer to this is to show how PoW is a non-lethal directed energy weapon for property & policy defense that foreign countries can and will use passive-aggressively against us if we don’t adopt and embrace it first. It really sucks to be the only guy who will say it.”

When nations declare #BTC protocol as their sovereign law, this happens:
– hashing industry = defense industrial complex TX fees = voluntary taxes block subsidy = decreasing inflation
– Citizens have means to non-lethally defend property & policy against exploitation.
This is GOOD

Right now, the US Treasury & Fed control the conversation about #BTC & we are danger close to having either hashing banned or having miners legally required to KYC TX requests. To remedy this, we need to stop calling #BTC money & call it cyber power.

Weapons are NOT bad when they’re non-lethal & used to defend ppl’s chosen property & policy.
The cure to getting US fed govt to support #BTC is to argue #Bitcoin is a Directed Energy Weapon (DEW), key to future cybersecurity strategy, & physical defense is a constitutional right.

The best national strategic security play US could be making right now is printing money to drive the price of #BTC as high as possible, stockpile it, and adopt extremely friendly policy for commercial hashing industry.

The fact that PoW is based on real power, and the fact that real power is physically decentralized, makes PoW’s decentralization self evident. You don’t even need to specify it, technically speaking. Although obviously PoS people need it spelled out for them…

“Late to the party” works with kinetic power projection.
It doesn’t work with #Bitcoin. Bitcoin’s path-dependence is brutal & it gives no 2nd chances. If US is late to the party, we set ourselves back by centuries.

💡 Not just any self defense. *physical* self defense.
Using watts to *physically* stop and physically cause harm to other people for the sake of defense.
💡#Bitcoin of all things should be PRAISED for its ability to allow citizens to exercise 2nd amendment NON LETHALLY
