BITCOIN IS FOREVER

$1.5 trillion Franklin Templeton filed an update to its #Bitcoin ETF application. All the Bitcoin ETFs are now aligned for an approval by the 10th of January.

The SEC is really about to approve a Bitcoin ETF at the same time the Federal Reserve is about to pivot at the same time the FASB accounting rules will be applied at the same time the halving is about to take place all during a presidential election. Nothing is priced in.

SEC delays $1.5 trillion asset manager Franklin Templeton’s spot #Bitcoin ETF application.

TETHER

TETHER’S SECRET AGENT
The secretive Christopher Harborne has a mysterious past, vast wealth, and deep political connections. Is he also the brains behind the world’s largest stablecoin?
While figures like Paolo Ardoino and Giancarlo Devasini get credit for running the massive Tether stablecoin, one major shareholder hasn’t gotten nearly as much attention. His name is Christopher Charles Sherriff Harborne, AKA Chakrit Sakunkrit, a British-Thai dual citizen. His son is also involved William Marcus Sherriff Harborne.

BoJo donor Christopher Harborne named as intermediary in Tether fraud claims
Christopher Harborne tied to Tether’s alleged fraud
Under the pseudonym Chakrit Sakunkrit, Harborne was and could still be a major shareholder of Digfinex, the parent company of Tether and Bitfinex. Silvergate closed its accounts with Tether and Bitfinex in 2018, and denied a request to reopen them that fall. First reported by the WSJ, Harborne then applied for an account at Signature through his aviation fuel brokerage AML Global. In the application, Thailand-based Harborne alleged he would primarily use the account to trade crypto on exchange Kraken to hedge currency exposure. The fact that he operated under a pseudonym that owned 12% of Tether and Bitfinex (and therefore would have been familiar to Signature) was never mentioned.

Christopher Charles Sherriff Harborne (born December 1962) is a British businessman and technology investor based in Thailand. A University of Cambridge and INSEAD graduate, his donations have enabled the founding of INSEAD San Francisco and the creation of a blockchain research fund. He has also donated to Britain’s Conservative Party and more recently has been a major donor to Britain’s Brexit Party, donating more than £6 million in 2019.[1] He also holds Thai citizenship under the name Chakrit Sakunkrit.

Jamie Dimon

Jamie Dimon became a billionaire after his bank received a $416 billion taxpayer bailout while he was on the NY Fed, was fined $13 billion for mortgage fraud, illegally foreclosed on military families & avoided taxes through offshore tax scams. Jamie Dimon is addicted to greed.

@GRDecter
JUST IN: Jamie Dimon says the U.S is addicted to debt and it’s created a dangerous “sugar high” in the economy. He points to the enormous surge of new debt taken on during the pandemic He says that money is like “heroin” in the hands of consumers “We’re on this sugar high and I’m not saying this ends in a depression [but] I think there’s more inflationary forces out there…There’s a higher chance that rates go higher, inflation doesn’t go away, and all these things cause more problems of some sort” Probably nothing.

POLITICS #DEMOCRATS

Dear Democrats: Stop talking about Biden’s age and focus on his accomplishments
President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party are in a strong position heading into 2024. Let’s review, shall we?
The unemployment rate stands at 3.4 percent — the lowest it’s been in 54 years. Inflation is moderating. For all the doomsday predictions of a hard landing after the pandemic, our economy is resilient and vigorous as a result of the aggressive investments made by the Biden Administration’s American Rescue Plan.
Drawing on his decades of experience, Biden deftly navigated a 50-50 Senate to pass a historic bipartisan infrastructure bill, generational investments in clean energy and semiconductor manufacturing, the first gun safety law in almost 30 years, a bill codifying same-sex marriage, a bill aiding veterans who suffered health effects from burn pits and an electoral reform to prevent a repeat of Trump’s attempt to use Congress to undermine the election. And that’s all without mentioning the nomination and confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to ever sit on the Supreme Court. On the international stage, Biden had the courage to end the longest war in U.S. history and to stand up to Vladimir Putin in the face of Russia’s unjust invasion of Ukraine.

Hundreds of high schoolers walked out of school Tuesday in support of a principal & senior staff who were reassigned for reportedly violating Ron DeSantis’s law on transgender athletes, something he pushes harder than trying to fix the insurance crises.

RETHUGLICANS

The night before the Jan. 6 insurrection, Enrique Tarrio of the Proud Boys and Stewart Rhodes of the Oath Keepers met in a DC parking garage. Tarrio & Rhodes were subsequently sentenced to decades in prison, but Bianca Gracia, who introduced them, is running for office in Texas.

Bill Pascrell, Jr. @BillPascrell
Recently we learned trump is building a fascist army of over 50,000 loyalists to root out his enemies in the government if he seizes power again. I’m going to post this repeatedly so no one can say they haven’t been told.
Trump Allies Are Creating an Army of Loyalists to Implement His Every Whim. Donald Trump’s allies have a dangerous plan to make sure he can do whatever he wants as president.

This organized attempt by the Trump campaign to intimidate media critical of him is right out of the Nazi playbook. Hitler’s rise to power utilized his Propaganda Ministry led by Joseph Goebbels to quickly gain and exert control over the news media, arts, and information in Nazi Germany. We should pay attention. Goebbels looks like Stephen Miller.

Pence is a loser.

As Romney said no one was “more loyal, more willing to smile when he saw absurdities, more willing to ascribe God’s will to things that were ungodly than Mike Pence.”

The fly that landed on Pence’s head has more integrity than Pence.

Trump was installed as the 45th President with help from Putin. He blew up the deficit with tax cuts for the rich. Lied about covid19. Tried to abolish affordable health care. Lied about the election being stolen. Tried to overthrow the Government. Stole Classified documents.

MAGAs are posting A photo of “orange Jesus” with a supposed real Jesus without realizing it’s Charles Manson. Lol 🥴 I just can’t with these people.

Leonard Leo firm received $21M from Leo-linked group
The expenditure, revealed in a tax filing, comes as the conservative activist is under enhanced scrutiny from the D.C. attorney general.
Conservative judicial activist Leonard Leo’s consulting firm received $21 million in 2022 from a group that is a pillar of Leo’s aligned nonprofit network, according to a new tax filing. That group, The 85 Fund, is part of an umbrella of nonprofits under investigation by the Washington, D.C. attorney general for potentially violating tax laws. Carrie Severino, a former law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas, is a director of the group.

@jamestalarico
DEMOLISHES Abbott’s school voucher program & EXPOSES it for what it is: A taxpayer subsidy aimed at helping wealthy families buy down the cost of the private schools where they ALREADY send their kids. Some CEO or investment banker with two kids in private school could get $80,000 in taxpayer funds to subsidize their education. It’s an absolute SCAM.
Government money to poor people = handout
Government money to rich people = subsidy

MAN’S PLACE ON EARTH

The famous Italian diver Enzo Maiorca dove into the sea of Syracuse and was talking to his daughter Rossana who was aboard the boat. Ready to go in, he felt something slightly hit his back. He turned and saw a dolphin. Then he realized that the dolphin did not want to play but to express something.

The animal dove and Enzo followed. At a depth of about 12 meters, trapped in an abandoned net, there was another dolphin. Enzo quickly asked his daughter to grab the diving knives. Soon, the two of them managed to free the dolphin, which, at the end of the ordeal, emerged, issued an “almost human cry” (describes Enzo). (A dolphin can stay under water for up to 10 minutes, then it drowns.)

The released dolphin was helped to the surface by Enzo, Rosana and the other dolphin. That’s when the surprise came: she was pregnant! The male circled them, and then stopped in front of Enzo, touched his cheek (like a kiss), in a gesture of gratitude and then they both swam off.
Enzo Maiorca ended his speech by saying: “Until man learns to respect and speak to the animal world, he can never know his true role on Earth.”

BITCOIN

Fractional Reserve Banking is Inherently a House of Cards.

The use case is money that cannot be arbitrarily debased if you’re worried about volume than lower your position size.

Just saying ……
Some think taking an early retirement package to rescue a fiat-based pension now, that you then roll over into a Bitcoin IRA
to avoid cap gains, isn’t as crazy as it sounds to normal people.

A hypothetical Blackrock spot Bitcoin ETF approval isn’t just about price. It’s also about legitimizing the entire Bitcoin space. Bitcoin miners, custodians, exchanges, payments companies, etc are all way undervalued. There will be an almost instant 20-100% legitimacy premium. The more levered to Bitcoin, the better. Funds like GBTC, companies with large holdings like MSTR, and miners like Iris Energy and Cipher with massive operating leverage at higher spot prices will all benefit.

Bitcoin Magazine @BitcoinMagazine
$800 billion Standard Chartered Bank says spot #Bitcoin ETF approvals “are likely to come sooner than expected.”

Plan B says
Bitcoin valuation based on difficulty (hashrate) increased to $35k yesterday. IMO this could mean that, apart from possible black swans or short term volatility, based on $/kWh-arbitrage fundamentals … BTC will never go below $35k ever again.

Dylan LeClaire says
Talk of ETF approval misses the forest for the trees. It’s not just about immediate reactions or flows

It’s about the recognition of $BTC as an institutional asset. Pensions, endowments, insurance investment portfolios, etc., will soon be entering the arena with passive buy-side flows for the long term.

In December 2020, Mass Mutual invested $100m into bitcoin.

MASSIVE…. except not really. Mass Mutual manage $235b in assets, with long-dated fiat liabilities.

$100m of $BTC is a ~0.05% allocation…

Large institutional investors don’t purchase something to flip it the next month. They are constructing portfolios for multiple decades.
A 0.05% allocation is just the start. There are many more many more Mass Mutuals out there, and all of these allocators are staring at their bond portfolio which is -50% from ATHs, questioning previous assumptions they held. https://www.massmutual.com/efiles/corp/pdfs/ms1003.pdf
The endorsement by the likes of Larry Fink isn’t a sign that Larry is suddenly a bitcoin bull, it’s a sign that clients are knocking on BlackRock’s door, asking for a vehicle to gain exposure. The narrative violations are strong. Passive accumulation starting from the $69k ATH has you +45% right now on your bitcoin position. The same passive allocation into long bonds has you -12%.
“But the volatility!” Again, it’s a misunderstanding of time horizon.
A ~1% allocation to an asset that they don’t plan to liquidate for years/decades, with an extremely strong sharpe ratio, is within their risk profile. If you want proof, just look at the rest of their portfolio…

– No, the orange coin is not going away.
– No, it did not die when FTX collapsed.
– Yes, supply is more tightly held than ever before.
– Yes, perpetual credit expansion of the fiat monetary system is an ongoing reality.
– No, there is no sense of fiscal austerity present ANYWHERE.
– Yes, this illiquidity means marginal flows into the market sends the price higher, which is why all of these institutions will start with a tiny ~0.05% stake, while continuing to passively allocate steadily for the long-term.

Reinforcing this all is the shift in narrative and negative bias around ‘energy usage’ and mining, evidenced by new academic papers on mining as a tool for balancing the grid and monetizing waste energy:

– Bitcoin could support renewable energy development, Cornell Engineering, https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2023/11/bitcoin-could-support-renewable-energy-development

– Leveraging Bitcoin Miners as Flexible Load Resources for Power System Stability and Efficiency, Co-authored by former ERCOT CEO, https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=4634256

– From Mining to Mitigation: How Bitcoin Can Support Renewable Energy Development and Climate Action, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, https://resistance.money/research/mining_to_mitigation.pdf

The landscape and profile of the asset has shifted. It’s not about the ETF, it’s about the reason WHY the ETF is coming. Institutional exposure has been given a green light. It won’t happen all at once, but understand the shift that is underway.

Bitcoin has been passively accumulated by individuals and retail for sometime now, while institutions mostly watched the madness from the sideline. This is changing.

Welcome.
