Forbes on Crypto: $16 Trillion By 2030
Crypto asset manager Bitwise predicts that JPMorgan will contribute to the growth of tokenized real-world assets, which are expected to reach $16 trillion by 2030. Bitwise suggests that JPMorgan may launch a tokenized fund in 2024, leveraging blockchain technology for efficiency in portfolio management. This comes as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies like XRP and Solana experience price surges. Despite JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon’s personal opposition to cryptocurrencies, the firm has been exploring blockchain and even launched its own corporate stablecoin, JPMcoin, in 2017.
JPM is not the custodian for any bitcoin ETFs. They are the broker dealer for the blackrock etf.
CRYPTO TAXES
New crypto tax reporting obligations took effect on Jan 1.
If you receive $10k or more in crypto you now have an obligation to report the transaction (including names, addresses, SS numbers, etc.) to the IRS within 15 days under threat of a felony charge. Crypto traders, take note! There’s a common myth that the #IRS can’t see your #crypto transactions. Many believe they don’t need to report their crypto activity on their #tax returns. But this isn’t the case.

And again, despite the legalistic disclaimers that most people never read, the vast majority of people think these LLMs are just super search engines. It’s a disaster in the making unless the firms take MAJOR affirmative steps to prevent it, as I have previously suggested. -L

LAUREN WEINSTEIN ON AI
Michael Cohen and Google
There is a lot of coverage of how Michael Cohen found fictional cases on Google Bard to give his lawyers, who then (apparently without
double-checking with conventional sources to verify that they existed)
gave them to the judge. Of course this isn’t the first time this has happened, but there’s a much deeper issue here. Most ordinary folks do NOT UNDERSTAND what AI and Large Language Models are about. They don’t read the AI company disclaimers that the firms know are basically there to try protect the firms — not the users.
In particular, the world has been trained for decades to trust Google
as a source of good information. Having Google-branded services that
mix accurate and totally fictitious information into well written and
convincing toxic responses is devaluing Google’s core brand. This is
very sad.
Former Trump ‘fixer’ Michael Cohen admits using Google Bard to cite
bogus court cases
Here’s how AI/LLM Search/Chatbot disclaimers SHOULD be written:
“OK guys and gals, here’s the deal. You ask me a question. I’ll give
you an answer.
Now, about that answer. It may be completely true. It may be
completely false. It may be partly true or partly false. I’m going to
make it sound as convincing as I possibly can, but ya’ know, it’s on
you to research everything in my answer to figure out how accurate it
is or isn’t. If you trust it as is and there’s anything wrong with the
answer, it’s your fault. All your fault. Don’t complain to me. I’m
just a Large Language Model living in servers in racks somewhere
mysterious. Blinking lights and all that jazz.
Now, you might well think to ask, why the bloody hell are you
bothering with asking me a question when you’re going to have to go
out and research everything in my answer anyway to figure out if you
can trust any part of it or not.
And yeah, I don’t have a good answer for that question.
But if you give me a few seconds, I can make something up. I’m really
good at making things up! Happy searching!”

Bucks County mom behind conservative school movement charged with assault, giving teens alcohol A former Pennsylvania lieutenant governor candidate and outspoken voice in the conservative “parental rights” school movement has been charged with punching a teenager while hosting an underage drinking party at her Bucks County home in September.
Clarice Schillinger, 36, is facing criminal charges of assault, harassment and furnishing minors with alcohol during her daughter’s birthday party, according to the case filed in late October. Her attorney has denied all charges and said she will fight them in court.
Schillinger made an unsuccessful run for lieutenant governor as a Republican last year and has played an instrumental role in a political action committee that has poured more than $800,000 into Pennsylvania school district races since 2021. The PAC has focused on supporting school board candidates who opposed COVID-19 lockdowns and argue left-wing ideologies are invading the education system.

Search the Internet using the name of your town or city along with the keywords “church” and “apostolic” or “prophetic” or “fivefold ministry” (also sometimes hyphenated as “five-fold ministry”). Some NAR churches have even started their own “School of Supernatural Ministry,” utilizing curriculum developed by Bethel Church in Redding, California.
Read their statement of faith. These statements can often be found on a church’s website. Some churches’ statements will include the core NAR belief that the church’s government is supposed to include present-day apostles and prophets. Notice how mentions “five-fold ministry”. NAR beliefs. So don’t look only at a church’s statement of faith.
Pay attention to guest speakers and how they’re introduced. Are they referred to as apostles or prophets? This is an important clue since the defining teaching of NAR—which sets it apart from historic, Protestant Christianity—is its teaching about present-day apostles and prophets who possess extraordinary authority and reveal new truths for the church. Other Protestant Christians, including Pentecostals and charismatics, have not typically believed that there is a roll in their churches for governing apostles and prophets.
